Unlike traditional stick-bows, ILF risers are designed with an adjustable tiller that can be easily modified to 3 under, split finger, or fixed crawl to answer the demands of any shooting style. Additionally, Apex risers are built with a 3-5-pound range of adjustable draw weight – controlled by the position of the tiller bolts and lateral limb adjustment screws – allowing shooters to fine-tune their bow to the precise specifications they desire, rather than having to adjust their mechanics to suit the bow.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Bobcat” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]In recognition of the expensive endeavor that taking up archery as a hobby can become, we created the “Grow with Your Bow” program: with the purchase of a Stalker Bobcat, young and inexperienced hunters can periodically swap out their limbs for heavier sets as they’re outgrown, at no additional cost. With limbs offered at any weight, the Bobcat provides the perfect opportunity for young archers who’ve outgrown their Weasels to upgrade to a full-sized Stalker without having to worry about replacing it a few years and several additional pounds of draw-weight later.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Coyote” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]The first bow model to be originally constructed by South Cox, the Coyote riser was designed to resemble the original Stalker Recurve handles, though slightly narrower – to fit the hand like a tailored glove. If you’re looking for a longbow that shoots with the ease of a recurve, or a recurve that fires with the relative silence of a longbow, you’ll love the Coyote. If you’re seeking to maximize performance, consider investing in a set of our new ACS longbow limbs to add approximately 10 fps to your shot (currently only available for the Coyte and Jackal models).[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Jackal” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]Our slimmest riser, the Jackal was designed for the longbow shooter seeking a more traditional straight-wrist Howard Hill style grip, with the consistent accuracy of a locator grip. If you’re seeking to maximize performance, consider investing in a set of our new ACS longbow limbs to add approximately 10 fps to your shot (currently only available for the Coyte and Jackal models).[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Vortex” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]Deviating from tradition, the Vortex is Stalker Stickbows’ flagship belly-mounted bow model. Designed with the limbs positioned behind the throat of the grip, this gives the Vortex a deflex riser, placing a higher concentration of pressure directly in the shooter’s hand – significantly reducing interference from torque. In addition to generally being our heaviest and therefore most stable Stalker riser, the deflex design makes the Vortex our most forgiving model to shoot. While belly-mounted bows typically suffer a sacrifice in performance due to their shortened power-strokes, the Vortex was designed with a lower than usual brace height to compensate for the abbreviated distance of energy transfer to the arrow and as a result the recurve limbs match the speed of our Wolverine recurve (195 fps with a 50# @ 28” draw weight and a 9 grain per-pound arrow) as the highest performing Stalker bow.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Weasel” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]The youth Stalker option, the Weasel is priced at only $199, in order to place bows in the hands of as many aspiring archers as possible. The Weasel is a 46” takedown recurve, offered with a 10-20-pound draw weight, measured at 20”. Weasels are built with black-glass limbs and dyed actionwood risers that can be upgraded with a center accent stripe for an additional $25. We hold our Weasel’s to the same standard of excellence that we demand of all of our bows, ensuring they’re built to be passed on to generations to come.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Wolverine” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]The classic Stalker Stickbow model: the Wolverine, though tweaked over the years to enhance appearance and performance, is the only original Stalker Stickbow still being built today. With a handle that’s been iterated upon practically to the point of perfection and limbs that are sculpted to lay flush with the riser, the Wolverine is an easy contender for the best-looking bow we offer. Matching the velocity of our Vortex recurve, a pair of static limbs on the Wolverine deliver the best performance you can currently achieve with a Stalker (195 fps with a 50# @ 28” draw weight and a 9 grain per-pound arrow). If you’re willing to sacrifice a few feet per second from your shot, our new ACS Supercurve limbs (currently only available for the Wolverine model) deliver an extremely unique trad-bow experience. With a much more dramatic curve than their static counterparts, the extraordinarily flexible supercurve limbs reach back as your enter the second half of the draw, relieving pressure on the string – significantly reducing the force required to reach full draw.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Limb Options” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]Avaliable in our SL variant with two tapered laminations of actionwood beneath the fiberglass or our XT variant with custom hardwood veneers, all of our Stalker take-down bows are offered with both static recurve and reflex/deflex longbow limbs. Because not all woods perform as well in a set of limbs as they would in a beauty contest, our XT limbs are built with matching .025” exotic hardwood veneers and reinforced with bamboo cores to produce consistently reliable performance from our entire selection of exotic hardwoods. With the recent acquisition of A&H Archery, Dryad Bows, and their ACS limb patent, Stalker Stickbows has also begun offering ACS longbow and Supercurve limbs for select models. With a concave cross-section resembling a tape measure near the tips, ACS limbs are more rigid, require less material, and shoot with increased velocity, compared to our standard static and reflex/deflex limbs. Adding to this, rather than stacking more weight as pressure is increased, the ACS Supercurve limb’s unique design opens with a much more dramatic curve, relieving pressure on the string, significantly reducing the force required to reach full draw.
All Stalker limb tips – the Weasel aside – are reinforced with micarta and proprietary material, enabling the use of any low stretch strings on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Riser Options” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]Stalker stick-bows are designed with three variations of risers (excluding the Apex ILF and Vortex models which are only built in the premium FXT style, and the kid’s Weasel). The base SL model is built with two pieces of dyed actionwood or exotic hardwood, flanking a straight accent stripe and two pinstripes. The mid-tier XT model is designed with a chevron accent stripe and six pinstripes flanked by an exotic hardwood back and belly. The premium FXT model is professionally crafted with an hourglass shaped center flare wood, flanked by an exotic hardwood back and belly, with the option for either pinstripes or mosaic accent stripes between them. Additionally, FXT risers are reinforced with G-10 I-beams, making it the most durable and attractive option for a Stalker.
All Stalker stick-bows are offered with our standard low, medium, and high wrist grips, along several unique custom grips including the Clum, Snyder, Jager, 6-pak, checkered, and stippled grips. If you prefer to send us a grip that you are comfortable with, we will be happy to duplicate it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Wood Options” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%23840000″][vc_column_text]We offer a wide and continually expanding variety of woods for both risers and limbs that are hand-picked for unique color and figure to achieve the desired appearance of each customer’s bow.

All Stalker’s are also designed with a locator grip and angled thumb groove, making consistent hand placement effortless. Finally, each Stalker is built with a generous sight window, granting a significant range of view to compensate for arrow-drop. The Wolverine, Vortex, and Apex risers are cut 3/16” past center, while all other Stalker models are cut 1/8” past center. The radius shelf is cut to sit just above the hand, allowing the arrow to be aligned directly under the shooter’s eye, making the arrow a virtual extension of your index finger.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
