- Never dry-fire your bow (releasing the string from full draw without an arrow)
- Do not leave your bow strung in the heat
- Do not store your bow standing upright
- Do not shoot improperly arrow spines with your bow
- Only shoot feather fletchings off the shelf of your bow
- Avoid exposing your bow to moisture for extended periods of time
- Shoot your bow at least semi-frequently if regularly stored strung
- Take extreme caution to avoid twisting your limbs during the stringing/unstringing process
- Purchase a case to protect your bow from the many hazards of hunting
- Send your bow in to be refinished when the scratches start to add up
